Tuesday What's Happening?
Good Morning,
I am up early today. Must get to my daughter's early because my granddaughter is taking a class trip from the school where her preschool is to the school where her Kindergarten and other grades will be. My daughter wants to go along because most of the other parents will do so, and Isabel wants her to as well.
It rained here all day yesterday, and Lincoln wants to go outside and play ball with me so I hope it is dry and sunny todayi do need to go to the candle store today to see if I can get a matching picture to the one I bought last time I was here.
Hope everyone has a great day
Love to all.
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Good mornin' ya'll.
More sewing today. I plan on having all of my sewing done by Friday.
I got two texts yesterday from our almost son-in-law. Then a phone call. All three sounded like is trying to get some kind of information from me. And he sounds so reasonable and nice and like he is being cooperative in this divorce thing. He kept referring to WE helped build up these 2 companies, WE have lots of money. I said I remembered when she signed the latest contract with her employers and she couldn't get the money out unless she quit or died, but she still had to pay taxes on it all. He gave me a condescending chuckle.
Then our daughter calls to say he cancelled mediation again, he will only go to one suggested by his lawyer. That one costs $300 an hour and $400 an hour for each of their lawyers. So $1100 an hour and lawyers saying min 10 hours. He had told our daughter he would pay his lawyer out of his settlement. But of course, not in writing! He saw his attorney yesterday and apparently was told all kinds of stuff. He immediately called our daughter with new demands. He was told he could continue to spend as he had before. He said he always bought what he wanted before, so he is going crazy with the credit card! He has to know they have no ready cash cause she had to take out a loan for the military academy last year!!! The vehicles are all in her name, she's trying to sell the Lotus. The lawyer told her to expect the divorce to cost her AT LEAST $50,000!!! Daughter said, whose side are you on!!
Oh, and apparently he called their son and told him about their words. The son texted his Mom and told her if she couldn't be nice to his Dad, don't talk to his Dad anymore!!! This from the same kid who threatened to kick his dad's a*s last time he was home!! Our daughter is cashing in an insurance policy. Technically he should get half. She will use that for more lawyer payments. I suggested she fire her lawyer and see what the laws are for a legal separation. Cheaper. And if it stops him from getting any of her future earnings might be worth it! Then she can slowly cancel credit cards, and wean him out of her life. Maybe he'll get a job! Then if he decides to get a divorce he can file and have to pay everyone.
Enough of my ranting.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Was texting our daughter a lot last evening. She kept saying she was fine, don't worry, it would work out. More texts this morning insisting all is fine. Last one said I wish you could come see me but I know you're busy!!
Hell yes, I'll be there. I fly out on the same plane as her son when he goes home, and I'll be back for high school graduation here!!
Next text....thank you Mommy.

Good morning my OFF sistas,
It's a rainy morning here in the hill country. This is a good thing. Of course, it's supposed to rain the rest of the week, and that's not such a good thing for me personally. I was sure hoping we could take the boat out on the lake sometime later this week. Butch gets home tomorrow, and they are predicting huge thunderstorms for tomorrow. Geez, I get nervous enough when he flies anyway. All this talk of underwear bombs and terrorists attempts to blow up airplanes this week, and now thunderstorms on top of that? It's going to be a long 24 hours until he gets home.
Today is Chris's day off and we're going to make a trip into San Antonio to take some of Benny's baby clothes and things into a little resale shop there. I see this as a sign of progress on her part. Always before she wanted to hold onto those things for when she had another baby. So I guess this means she's not thinking about going back to John and trying again. Thank God for that.
Not much else going on here this morning. Got to make some breakfast for my boy! He wakes up so sweetly, but he's also hungry! Breakfast is his best meal of the day. His mommy is sleeping in a little bit, which is fine. And I see my deer out there waiting for me to come and feed them, too. Guess I'd better get started.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:
No rain here, although it did rain last night. We had a hectic night last night ... eight stories came in after 10:30 p.m. for sports for two papers, the wires were down, it was nuts. Plus, news had late stories and issues, so they gave me no help. Crazy night. Then, after it was all done, I was posting my stories for the online edition and I saw that the Ky. paper had changed one of my headlines and misspelled a word ... and it got throught (because I was too busy to check the negative and someone else did and didn't catch it). I fixed it online, but still ... all they had to do was run it through spellcheck before sending it.
Taking Juliette to the vet ... will have to postdate a check to pay for it, but she is so itchy and is overgrooming herself. She is miserable. Anyway, I have to get in the shower and get dressed. Have a good day.
